Online Customer Service
The new Kia Service App 3.0 aims to enhance customer service and maintenance through optimized and convenient digital access. The mobile application has made great progress since its preceding version, featuring a wider breadth of services than ever before.

Set for launch in 16 countries this year, the app debuted with Kia Philippines in January and generated much buzz and media attention. By providing services on-the-go, Kia Motors hopes to appeal to the fast-paced nature of our current consumer base.
Smart Control System
Kia UVO infotainment and telematics system now offers control via smartphones using USB or Bluetooth connection. Users can operate in-cabin driver assistance and entertainment features through specially designed UVO mobile applications. This new addition utilizes mobile devices to track parking location, points of interest and vehicle maintenance information. In some cases, users can activate vehicle auto start and climate control at the touch of a button. While these features are not yet available worldwide, they represent a further step in our integration of smartphones and Kia automobiles.
Kia’s Future for Smartphone Use
Kia has also hinted at the potential for smart device connectivity that goes beyond mobile applications. The autonomous Soul EV introduced at 2016 CES show demonstrated an autonomous parking function that utilizes a smart watch. I-Cockpit, Kia’s next generation HMI system, foreshadows in-cabin user preference adjustments simply based on smart device connection or finger printing. These innovations, currently under development, promise enormous upgrades in smartphone connectivity and, thus, an enhanced driving experience for consumers.
As smartphone technology develops, Kia Motors imagines further innovations with smart devices and Kia vehicles. As a result, our latest models now possess intricate features that accommodate smart devices. The all-new Optima and Sportage both feature a wireless smartphone charging mechanism while Kia Motors Europe has announced that Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ will be introduced in all European models by 2018. With such innovations, Kia Motors is taking measures to raise smart device integration to another level.
