Fulfilling our role as the title sponsor, Kia Motors provided a fleet of prize-winning vehicles for use by players and fan during the tournament. This year’s Kia Classic coincided with both Easter Sunday and Military Appreciation Day, so Kia made sure to place emphasis on festive activities suitable for families and golf fans of every age.
With a delightful range of activities taking place such as a family scavenger hunt, a player autograph event and a junior clinic for young golfers, the 2016 Kia Classic provided participants with a special up close and personal experience with the sport and its top class players.
Moreover, Kia selected Hire Heroes USA as the tournament’s first official charity partner, donating a portion of ticket proceeds to aid military veterans, active duty military members and their families.

The Kia Classic debuted in 2010 with the brand’s inauguration as the Official Automotive Sponsor of the LPGA. As an official partner, Kia is whole-heartedly dedicated to nurturing the popular sport. In addition to providing vehicle fleets for eight LPGA tournaments every year, Kia Motors has also established a long-standing partnership with star golfer Michelle Wie, who serves as ambassador and spokesperson for the brand.
That the Kia Classic is held in Southern California, the hometown of Kia Motors America, makes the occasion all the more special for the brand.
Alongside our partnership with the LPGA, Kia Motors sponsors a range of global sports tournaments, the FIFA World Cup, Copa América and UEFA EURO, as well the NBA and Australian Open, as an expression of support for passion, hard work, fair competition and good sportsmanship.
