Model : 2020 Hyundai Veloster N DCT / Cyber Gray (It was the second Cyber Gray Veloster N delivered in South Korea.)
Car Alias : VELGOON-I (벨군이)
The name comes from combining “VEL” from Veloster with “GOON” from my nickname, EOMGOON.
The “-I” at the end comes from the Korean “이,” which gives the name a more familiar and affectionate feel.
Location : South Korea
How long have you been modifying the car : I’ve been modifying the car little by little ever since I started owning it, rather than trying to build everything at once. The car now has over 230,000 km on it. At around 150,000 km, an issue with the original turbo eventually led me to swap in an Elantra N engine and turbo. It is currently running an SXTH Stage 1 tune and makes around 340 whp. On the exterior, I’ve also continued changing things over time to suit my personal taste, including an APR Performance rear wing and various other modifications.
Inspiration : What I like most about this car is the Veloster N’s distinctive unique design and the fun of driving. The VELGOON-I is not a car made just for display, but one that has been built by actually riding and enjoying it continuously for over 230,000 km. The longer we’ve been together, the more aspects we want to improve, and the process of driving the modified parts ourselves is the biggest reason we keep tinkering with this car.
